EC2016 - Eclectrocasts Compilation 2016

EC031 - Tim Rowe

This Eclectrocasts podcast features London based Consciousness Explorer, Meditation Teacher, Ambient Musician, and Voice Artist Tim Rowe (UK). We spoke with Tim about a broad set of topics including choral music, clustered sounds, minimalist composers, and even jazz and the influence of these works on Tim Rowe's own musical compositions. We discuss four of Tim Rowe's soothing undulating meditative made-in-the-moment tracks.

This podcast features Lancaster (UK) based minimal ambient techno experimental artist Gordon Chapman-Fox, aka ChipShopForks, recording as Hesking Radiophonic. We spoke with Heskin Radiophonic about his most recent album The Slug And The Snarl and about his approach to making music over the years from a variety of perspectives, most notably that the essence of modern music is bass and drums.

The Slug And The Snarl will be the premier release of the newly formed label Trium Circulorum and will be available as a limited edition cassette tape release on May 5, 2016.

EC022 - Unknown Land (UKLD)

This interview features Unknown Land (UKLD), a duo consisting of Chilean artist Lucia Ponticas (who produces her own music under the artist name Lucia F3nix) and Australian artist Rob Bryant (who produces his own music under the artist name Bare Island). We talked about their upcoming debut album 33° (release date March 30, 2016), and the unique and unusual ways they collaborate.

The unique sound of UKLD travels between enigmatic dark electronic and vehement electro-rock, with pulsating beats, overwhelming guitars and haunting passionate vocals, entwined in rich intricate melodies, narrated through intense but poetic lyrics.

EC021-Isotherme

This podcast features Eclectrocasts' own Isotherme (Jeff Kirn) interviewed by co-hosts Kees de Groot (Roofhare) and EC Digital Kitchen Chef Kim Rueger (Belly Full Of Stars). We spoke with Isotherme about his upcoming and much anticipated album Silence of the Second Voice. Isotherme is a multi-instrumentalist who describes his music as Electronic Ghost Ambient Sound Collages. His music is characterized by complex layered sound carpets with melodic lines varying from tender to haunting. Isotherme is a thoughtful and crafty composer in the tradition of minimalists who employs the structural complexity of jazz as well with great effect.
